It’s active rest day for me & Kitty which means I still MOVE for some form of exercise but it’s lighter and more restorative. Something like a leisure hike, a long walk, bike, etc.
On active rest days the goal is to focus on recovery and not to break down muscle.
So I yes, I still take my bcaas & I still exercise on “rest day.”
It’s not a day to sit on my butt all day without moving, I don’t think that’s healthy. We’re designed to move daily. It’s a blessing and I don’t take it for granted. 🤗💗 Hope you’re all having a beautiful day!

THE SECRET TO MOTIVATION [read👇]
We prioritize what we value.
It’s not that you’re not motivated or disciplined.
It’s most likely you’re not clear enough on the VALUE of the results to invest time & energy into it.
…Or perhaps you don’t truly value the result. 🤷♀️
When I learned I could lift & eat strategically to gain healthy curves, I went all in!
I dedicated so much time & energy into learning & training.
The value was clear. I knew I would gain confidence in my appearance & that would carry over to other areas in my life.
When I learned I could start my own business to help women achieve the same transformation that made such a positive difference in my life, I saw immense value in that!
Helping women with my passion was so valuable & worth the risk, the effort, time, and money I invested into making it a reality.
Something I’m struggling with now, after being in shape & learning to truly love my body despite how it looks, is connecting with the value in *continuing* to push myself in the gym.
If I can be honest, I’m struggling with the discomfort/effort that comes along with lifting heavier & working harder. 🙈😬
As a fitness professional, I know what it takes to get to the next level, & it’s not comfort!
I’m having a hard time placing value in the time, wear & tear on my body, the constant soreness, & the fatigue that comes with pushing myself.
I still enjoy lifting, but I’m quite content lately lifting half the weight I could be, taking twice as long between sets, & walking my dog as cardio instead of crazy HIIT sessions.
Truth is, I like my body the way it is. I’m in a good place.
It’s not perfect, but I don’t feel a strong desire to change it.
I know, I know, 🙄 “great problem to have”
… My point?
No matter the stage in your journey, your struggle with “motivation” is really a question if you’re in alignment with your values.
Maybe those who’ve trained for a past goal, vacation, or fitness competition, can relate?
If you struggle with “motivation,” it’s time to reconnect with a result you value enough.👀

Anytime you find yourself judging someone, you’re uncovering fears within yourself.
We create our own reality & identity based on our experiences.
(Childhood, religion, environment, etc)
Criticism of others is usually sparked by our own insecurities
the conflict between our reality (the way things “should be”) & the different ways others are living their lives.
We cope with these internal conflicts & insecurities by judging others so we can rationalize & defend our own reality.
Judgment is simply a self-protection mechanism. 🤯
If you dig deeper you’ll find discomfort, shame about “failures”, doubts if you’re making the “right” decisions.
We judge to avoid uncovering painful truths.

We’re all judgmental to some extent.
It’s natural. Your brain is trying to protect you from negative emotions.🧠
Judgement can weighs us down & hold us back from living a meaningful life.
If you see the value in releasing judgment vs the need to hold on it…

You have a choice.

-Actively take notice when you find yourself judging someone.
-Allow yourself to have these thoughts without assigning an emotion on them.
-Explore why these judgments arise & what you fear it could mean about yourself.
✨ You can choose love & acceptance ✨
-Recognize we’re all different.
-Check in with yourself about YOUR values, beliefs, & priorities. Are YOU living in alignment with these?
If not, explore this…
-Remember your values can change over time.
-Accept your values are likely not their same values, & that’s ok.
-Is there an opportunity here for you to be grateful for your experiences, differences, & free-will?

✔️I have a Pre-Workout meals with the appropriate macro ratios.
