What can I say? This girl has a gift....
Meet "Axel" the Cry Pretty Kitty.
At the show in Cincinnati, I heard a noise several times throughout the day when walking past our trucks. It sounded like a kitten. Dismissing it as a bird, I didn't look further into it. There was no logical explanation that there would be a cat anywhere near the venue. But, at about 7PM I heard the cry again. I peeked underneath our merchandise truck, and sure enough...there he was! He was hiding in the space above the wheel well and the truck bed. So naturally, without hesitation, I crawled underneath the truck, reached into the tight metal space, snatched that kitten up and promptly ran with him to the bus and put him in the back lounge. He was skinny, hungry, a little beat up but otherwise no worse for wear. I have no idea where he could have come from, or even how long he was a stowaway. I am thankful that I found him when I did. I am almost 100 percent confident that it wouldn't have ended well once the show was over, the trucks started to load out and traffic started to move. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Special thanks to the Production Team for getting me food, litter and a cat carrier within the hour. Joe the truck driver for transporting him overnight across state lines. My tour family for their patience and understanding. (They pretty much just shook their heads and probably thought "Well, of course she found a cat." They know me so well.) And the biggest thanks to my friend and fellow cat whisperer Teresa Garber. @tgarb3206 She picked up our little Axel after the show in Indianapolis and already found him a forever home!! A happy ending!
